Construction Reform Info Session Held this Week
With the passage of Ohio's biennial budget, HB 153, there are significant changes in how the state procures public building projects. Public owners can now utilize project delivery systems other than multiple prime contracting, design build, design assist, construction management at risk and single prime without any maximum threshold. New contract documents and bonding requirements are also being developed by the state.
AGC of Ohio, in conjunction with Thompson Hine and the AGC divisions including The Builders Association, is hosting four programs across the state to educate contractors about this construction reform.
On August 12, a meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South (Independence) for the Cleveland area. Registration/Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program from Noon to 2:30 p.m. The event will be hosted by The Builders Association, Construction Employers Association, and Akron AGC.
