Extension Ladder Recall
Several brands of popular fiberglass extension ladders have an active safety recall in force as of March, 2008. The ladders are Louisville and Michigan “D” Rung Fiberglass Extension Ladders.
The fly section of the ladder may bind without locking.
If you have a ladder that is described below, the manufacturer asks that you discontinue use and contact them for further information. Only ladders with manufacture dates/date codes of September 2007 and October 2007 are affected.
The Louisville ladder model numbers affected are:

(On the ladder, the “XX” will identify a particular model size).
The Michigan ladder model numbers affected are:

If your ladder if affected, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY, and call Louisville Ladder toll free at 1-800-660-4356 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, or at www.louisvilleladder.com for information on how to inspect and receive compensation if necessary. The recall is done in cooperation with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
