Hively ironworkers top off WATTS athletic facility
Ironworker employees of Builders Association member Hively Construction placed the last steel beam in place recently for a new sports facility on the campus of Youngstown State University. Continuing the long-time tradition of celebrating the final steel beam's installation, Hively workers signed the beam, then hoisted it into place, along with an American flag and an evergreen tree - a marker used by ironworkers to symbolized prosperity.
The facility - The Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) Center - is YSU's newest building and will serve as an indoor athletic training facility. The $11.4 million project is being built by Hively Construction of Canfield, Ohio. Learn more about Hively Construction by visiting www.hivelyconstruction.com.
