Iron Workers Local #207 Accepting Apprentice Applications

The Iron Workers Local #207 Joint Apprenticeship Program is currently accepting applications for a class of Iron Worker Apprentices to begin in November. A copy of the application form can be received at 694 Bev Road, Boardman, OH, or at the Iron Workers web-site:  To be considered for this class, applications must be received no later than Friday, October 11, 2013.

Basic Qualifications:

1.    At least 18 years of age

2.    High School Graduate or Equivalent

3.    Physically capable of performing work of the trade

4.    Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & physical

5.    A non-refundable fee of $20.00 will be due on the testing date

Applicants must bring copies of the following:

A.    Transcript of high school grades

B.    High School diploma or GED

C.    Valid drivers license

D.    Birth Certificate

An aptitude test and an agility test will be administered some time after an application has been submitted.  Selection of apprentices under this program shall be made on the basis of qualification alone and all applicants will be afforded equal opportunity under these standards without regard to race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.  This information is forwarded to you in compliance with the selection procedures of the training program, approved and registered by the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council.
