Jack Gibson Construction Achieves Industry Milestone
Jack Gibson Construction Company recently achieved an important industry milestone: 30 successful years in business.
From the day it opened its doors in 1982 through today, Gibson Construction has lived up to its reputation of being a highly qualified, premier general contractor, design/build firm and experienced construction management resource. As a result, the company is well-known and well-respected in the local construction community because of its work ethic and quality of service that is delivered to the customer.
In thirty years of family ownership, Gibson Construction has erected a multitude of buildings that truly punctuate the landscape of the Youngstown-Warren region; including schools, hospitals, government buildings, single-family homes, restaurants, office buildings and churches.
"The thing that I believe in most is when you have a business, you've got to learn how to get along with the people that you're working with and develop how you want them to work for you," said Jack Gibson, co-founder of Jack Gibson Construction Co. "That has worked out well for us as we have successfully completed many good projects with many good people.”
Gibson Construction employs 13 full-time staff employees, and at times over a hundred field employees and many subcontractors on major building projects across the Mahoning Valley. Along with numerous high-profile projects in the area, the company also provides considerable work for the community pro bono. Gibson provided construction services for the new war memorial in downtown Warren at no cost, helped to raise money for the initial phase of the Packard Museum and has contributed to numerous community-improvement efforts.
“Success for us is not entirely based on the bottom line,” said John Gibson, CEO of Gibson Construction. “Giving back to the community – whether that means sponsoring a softball team or building a state-of-the-art school or hospital facility – is what matters to us. We are blessed to be in a position to help advance our community’s quality of life and economic development and we fully expect to continue down that path.”
As a founding member of The Builders Association, Jack Gibson and the Jack Gibson Construction Company continues to give back.
"Not only does Jack Gibson Construction have a venerable reputation for integrity, honesty and quality craftsmanship, but as a founding member of The Builders Association and with several members on our executive committee, they help members of the local construction community on a daily basis," Said Kevin Reilly, Executive Vice President of The Builders. "It comes as no surprise that Gibson is celebrating thirty years in business and I am confident that they will continue to be a valuable resource in the construction community for many years to come."
