9/14/2015

Kevin Reilly, executive vice president of The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, is the 2015 recipient of the Salute to Labor Achievement award, presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber at its annual Salute to Business Breakfast on Sept. 3.

The annual award recognizes labor officials or groups who exemplify cooperative labor-management teamwork and who significantly enhance the economic vitality of the Mahoning Valley.

“Kevin is always one of the first to step up to support our economic development efforts in the Valley, and assist in any way he can,” said Chamber President & CEO, Tom Humphries. “His vision and professionalism in these endeavors have garnered the utmost respect from officials at the state and local levels.”

Kevin is a member of the Regional Chamber’s Government Affairs Council and is also president of the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

A resident of Mineral Ridge, Kevin graduated magna cum laude from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Occupational Health and safety management.

Kevin joined The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania in 1994 and moved up the ranks until becoming executive vice president of the organization in 2003. Kevin oversees 15 building trades agreements on behalf of significant commercial contractors in the five-county region. He also steers business and professional development programs, and other services for The Builders’ 150 members.

Members of The Builders have access to state-of-the-art education and training, unlimited manpower from apprenticeship and union labor halls, and a pool of technical, administrative and support resources. Also, building trade agreements cover everything from contractor negotiations and arbitration to education, scholarship and safety programs, pre-job assistance, and more.

“Because of his longevity in the Valley with The Builders, Kevin sees the big picture relative to our community’s economy, growth, and future success and is always ready to help,” added Humphries.
