Mamula Contracting Earns HubZone Small Business Certification
Mamula Contracting, LLC announces that it recently earned its HUBZone Small Business Certification from the U.S. Small Business Administration, which could propel better economic development opportunities for the region.
Based in Warren Ohio, Mamula Contracting is a General Contractor for residential, commercial and industrial projects. As a "qualified HUBZone small business concern" (SBC), the firm is eligible to receive HUBZone contracting opportunities, and will be included in the listing of qualified HUBZone small business concerns.
The federal program encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones - HUBZones - where the qualified SBC is located. SBA's HUBZone program is in line with the efforts of both the Obama Administration and Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more federal contracting opportunities, according to the HUBZone web site.
“Our goal is to leverage our new HUBZone status to bring more economic development to this region,” said Mamula Contracting President, Karen Mamula. “The federal government has a goal of awarding three percent of all dollars for federal prime contracts to HUBZone-certified companies, and that’s an investment in this area that we can now help to secure.”
Mamula Contracting LLC, in addition to being A+ accredited with the Better Business Bureau and a member of the Warren Business Exchange, is:
