Matt Bodine, a five-year member of the Builders Association, has been chosen as a Youngtown 40 Under 40 honoree. Bodine, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Youngstown University, is a founding partner at the accounting firm of Bodine & Perry. In addition to managing Bodine & Perry’s tax department, Bodine is also a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), which designates a mastery of knowledge in many aspects of construction, including accounting, taxation, legal, human resources, information technology, insurance and bonding.

With a strong background in construction and the designation of CCIFP, Bodine says he joined the Builders Association to become more active with other members of the Youngstown construction community.

“I have worked with contractors since I started my career in accounting and being involved with the Builders Association has allowed me to meet a variety of great people in the field,” said Bodine. “I enjoy the meetings that allow me to socialize on a non-business level with other members and allows for speakers from a variety of arenas.”

Bodine was chosen as a 40 Under 40 honoree because of his numerous professional achievements and community service efforts. This awards program was launched to honor Youngstown residents, 40 years old and younger, who are making a positive impact in their professions and have demonstrated a commitment to community involvement.

“It is, of course, a humbling honor to be selected,” says Bodine. “As I read the bios of the other 40 members, I saw how many other people in this valley excel at business, family and charitable levels. It’s wonderful to be included with such a great group of people.”
