Members Have a Great Time at Presidents Dinner
Each Winter, The Builders Association holds its President’s Dinner to ceremoniously pass the gavel from the outgoing to the incoming president. It’s always a nice affair. Nothing extraordinary - just traditional Association business. But this year, something was different.
“There was a lot of interaction, a lot of good fun and networking, and not just with the members, but among the spouses, as well,” said Kevin Reilly, EVP of The Builders. “It was one of the best Presidents’ Dinners we’ve had in a long time.”
A smaller-than-normal crowd - 70 this time - gathered at Avalon at Squaw Creek and had the usual good food, with entertainment by Anthony Horvath. In what may be a first in Association history, couples not only populated the dance floor, but some members even joined Anthony on stage for vocal backup.
Yes, tradition was still observed: 2015’s President, Howard Agueda (pictured on the left), Subcontractor Manager of Valley Electrical Consolidated, gave his advice and best wishes along with the gavel to 2016 President Jim Santini, Owner of Jim Santini Builder (pictured on the right).
“It’s one of the best aspects about being a member - the networking and social events of the organization,” Reilly added. “It was good to see everyone having such a good time and really enjoying each other’s company.”
