Ohio Names New State Architect

The Dept. of Administrative Services has announced the appointment of Craig Wease, AIA, CCM, as the new State Architect.

For the past four years, Craig has served as deputy chief of projects for the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC). During this time he has been involved with managing the $1 billion per year OSFC construction program, negotiating and contracting construction management services, training school facilities project administrators and auditing OSFC contractors for contract compliance. Prior to this position, Craig was a project administrator with OSFC and worked as an architect for various Ohio and Michigan private firms.

Craig, who started as State Architect on Oct. 1, is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and past president of the northern Ohio chapter of the Construction Management Association of America. He also is a Project Manager Professional (PMP) and a registered architect in the states of Ohio and Wisconsin. His educational background includes masterís degrees in architecture and engineering from the University of Michigan, and a masterís in business administration from the University of Wisconsin.
