Plan to Attend Thursday's Sheet Metal Open House!

Just a reminder that the Sheet Metal Workers Apprenticeship Training Center Open House is this Thursday, Oct. 28. Please plan on stopping by the Center at 200 McClurg Road, Boardman, Ohio, any time between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

WHY IT MATTERS: Most every construction project - new, retrofit, commercial, institutional or residential - depends on the skills and productivity of a sheet metal professional. See how these professionals learn, what they are taught, and what kind of equipment is available for their use.

Tours, hands-on demonstrations, mock-ups and simulated classroom lessons will be on display. For architects, a FREE continuing education course will begin at 5:30 p.m.

“We encourage anyone connected with our region’s construction industry to spend some time with our area’s top sheet metal professionals and contractors to get an update on the skills, productivity and expertise available from this crucial trade,” said Kevin Reilly, Executive Vice-President of The Builders, a co-sponsor of the event.

Reilly added that building owners, inspectors, facility managers, and elected officials are also invited to take part in the day’s activities.

The event is completely free of charge. Light food and beverages will be available.
