Roofers conduct OSHA 10 Hour training
On January 5, 2008, the Roofers JAC conducted journeyman upgrade training with an OSHA 10 Hour class. This class will meet the requirements of a recent Ohio Schools Facility Commission resolution that requires all workers on school projects advertised after October 1, 2007 be trained with a OSHA 10 Hour course. Over 50 Roofers attended the course conducted by Mike Stiens of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers at the facilities of Boak & Sons, Inc. The JAC wishes to express its appreciation to both Mike Stiens and Boak & Sons, Inc for their help in getting this training completed.
