Valley's Economic Development Highlighted at AIA/Builders Event

A solid representation of the region's business, construction, political, and civic sectors gathered recently to discuss the Mahoning Valley's growth, business investment and regionalization issues at an event co-hosted by The Builders Association and the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Local architects Doug Sipp and Bruce Sekanick kicked-off the evening, held at Avalon Country Club at Squaw Creek on Oct. 25. The evening also included short presentations by area political officials in attendance, such as Ohio Senators Capri Cafaro and Joe Schiavoni, State Reps Tom Letson and Sean O’Brien, Trumbull County Commissioner Dan Polivka, and U.S. Congressional candidate Dr. Marsha Agana.

"We believe partnering with the local AIA chapter to present these types of events is important to promote the business and economic development of our region," said Builders Executive Vice-President Kevin Reilly. "If anyone has a topic that they would like to see us highlight in an upcoming event, please contact us."
