All time high attendance for the 2016 Northeast Ohio Safety Expo
The 9th annual Northeast Ohio Safety Expo drew record numbers for the all day event that provides employers with valuable and effective information to enhance their safety and health programs.
The Expo brought 490 attendees, 287 employers and 62 exhibitors to the Trumbull Career & Technical Center (TCTC) in Champion, Ohio on Friday October 14.
Presented by the partnership of the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation (BWC) and the TCTC, this year’s event offered 41 quality educational sessions – the most ever offered in 9 years.
Sessions ranged from how to decrease accident frequency and severity, return- to-work-strategies, A.L.I.C.E. training (Active shooter training) and dealing with drugs in the workplace.
62 safety and health vendors participated, along with exhibitors that included OSHA, area health and medical services, occupational safety and health consulting professionals and safety equipment providers.
Overall, the 2016 Northeast Ohio Safety Expo was a success not only from attendance – but from results of Expo evaluation forms provided after the event. Participant’s ranked their satisfaction with 5 being best and 1 being worst. All sessions scored near perfect in terms of feedback, with value versus cost and ease of registration totaling the highest scores.
