At its annual business meeting on December 2, members of the Builders Association elected the 2016 slate of officers and executive committee members. This group of local construction industry veterans will all serve a one-year term:
President: Jim Santini, President, Jim Santini Builder, Inc. of Washingtonville, Ohio. Residence: Lisbon, Ohio
Mr. Santini is a graduate of Leetonia High School and Youngstown State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He began his construction career as a laborer for the family-owned company (then call VJ Construction) in 1963. He quickly became a construction superintendent and assumed the company in 1985 as president, changing its name to Jim Santini Builders, Inc.
Jim is a certified estimator, earning his qualification from both Quest Solutions and MC Squared. He has been a member of The Builders’ Executive Committee for five years, serving as an officer for the last three. He is also an active participant on numerous Builders committees, including the Construction Advancement Program, a trustee post he’s held for nine years. He also is a long-time member and current president of the Washingtonville Cemetery Association.
Jim and his wife Barbara reside outside of Lisbon, Ohio. Between the two of them, they share five adult children and three grandchildren.
