It’s time to get your RSVP in for the annual Ohio Safety Congress & Expo, which runs March 7-9 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Attendance is free for Ohio employers and their employees. By attending the safety congress, you will learn to:

  • Prevent workplace injuries and illnesses;
  • Achieve better outcomes for injured workers;
  • Reduce workers’ compensation claims costs;
  • Keep Ohio’s work force healthy and productive.

The Safety Congress & Expo features 200 educational sessions presented by experts from across the country covering topics related to injury and illness prevention, rehabilitation, return-to-work and cost savings. An expo marketplace will host more than 200 exhibitors.

This year, the event will be held in conjunction with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s Medical & Health Symposium on March 8 and 9, also at the convention center. The symposium offers educational opportunities for health care providers, which will be presented by nationally-recognized specialists in research, neuropsychology, pharmacology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, wellness, alternative medicine and orthopedic surgery.

“Safety is a team effort. It takes an engaged team with the training, tools and motivation to keep their workplaces safe,” said Sarah Morrison, BWC administrator and CEO. “I hope every Ohio employer and worker will consider attending the Safety Congress and commit to joining us in building a culture of safety across the state.”

Registration and course listings for both events are available at BWC.Ohio.gov.
