Members of The Builders are invited to a free hands-on workshop on December 12 hosted by the International Masonry Institute. The event runs from 7:30 to Noon at the Northern Ohio Regional Training Center, 8499 Leavitt Road, in Amherst, Ohio.

 
Learning Objectives include:

  • Understanding of a complete wall assembly from the foundation up to the stone cap at the top of a parapet wall, by training via a complete assembly mock-up with hand-outs
  • Hands on training in a small group setting to build a block and brick assembly wall complete with all parts and pieces.
  • Knowledge of masonry details in a project by both Instruction and by ability to ask questions to the Local BAC Trainer, Journeymen and Apprentices instructing actual hands on portion.
  • Learn about the advantages of working with union craftworkers to ensure better quality in construction projects
Hands-On Workshop
Demo and Hands-On experience for Architects/Engineers and GC/CM to gain an understanding of masonry assemblies while having the chance to work with BAC craftworkers.
